TEETH WHITENING IN BURLINGTON

ZOOM! TEETH WHITENING AT OUR BURLINGTON DENTAL CLINIC

Teeth whitening or bleaching is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to dramatically change the colour of natural tooth enamel. It is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of ways to whiten teeth. The two most popular and effective methods involve a tooth whitening system that can either be used at home over a 2-3 week period or in our office for about one hour.
Since teeth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings and or crowns. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match your newly bleached teeth. Teeth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed every several years, and more often if you smoke, drink coffee, tea, or wine.

ZOOM TEETH WHITENING PROCEDURE

You can have your teeth whitened up to nine shades with Zoom! in-office whitening treatments. The Zoom! process takes about an hour, during which a special gel is applied to your teeth in three 15-minute sessions. During these sessions, the special Zoom! light is focused onto your teeth, breaking up stains and discoloured. The entire process takes approximately an hour, after which you go home with a beautiful white smile.
Occasionally some patients experience some tooth sensitivity during whitening. Any sensitivity will subside shortly after your treatment. You will be given care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Good oral hygiene practices, eating habits, and regular visits to your dentist will help you maintain a beautiful, healthy, and bright smile.
